The fourth day of an intensive search for missing enduro motorcyclist Nick Klingelhoeffer has drawn another blank. Klingelhoeffer, 37, of East London, went missing on Saturday while taking part in the Lilyfontein Funduro event held in the mainly rural area of Brakfontein on the city’s outskirts with his wife, Janique, who is also a rider.
Police in Gonubie, East London, have opened an inquest docket after the body of enduro biker Nicolas Klingekhoeffer, 37, was found by a farmworker on Wednesday morning.
The search for an enduro rider who went missing after the Lilyfontein Funduro event on Saturday is continuing. SAPS Search and Rescue, Gonubie police station, the Green Scorpions, Metro EMS and the riding and farming communities have banded together to carry out extensive searches in the area from the air and on the ground.
Parents, teachers, community members and pupils gathered at Lilyfontein School, situated 20km outside of East London last week to celebrate its 117 years of existence.
