Have your back in terms of all people in our country, including people of color. This spending bill, it does just the opposite. I hope the members will understand the message that were sending to communities of color in this bill and rectify some of the problems. You have a chance to reject further institutionization of any quality and injustice and recognize how painful these cuts will be to people of color and women. Im going to give you my examples and my amendment shows what im talking about. The jackson Lee Butterfield amendment, this would increase funding by 16 million for the office of job corps. This amendment is fully offset with the department of Labor Administration funds. I offered a similar amendment in committee, and while that amendment failed, i believe that this amendment before us is not subject to point of order. Its critically important. You know that many minority youths and disadvantaged youth who have benefitted significantly from job corps will be locked out of
