Vegan and plant-based food launches roundup

Chocolates for Easter, sauces from South Korea and plant-based meatballs all feature in this roundup of vegan and plant-based product launches from food manufacturers. As Veganuary winds down for another year, we take a look at some of the latest offerings from producers for consumers looking to cut animal products from their diets. The event represents a month-long pledge by consumers to cut meat from their diets and eat purely vegan diets for the month of January. This year more than 500,000 people signed the pledge, according to manufacturer Cauldron, which supported the campaign with a £3m ‘always-on’ marketing strategy to run throughout 2021.

Oumph! Balls are rolling into Ocado

Launched by Iceland in the spring of 2018 when it unveiled its No Bull burger, the No Meat brand has since grown to include a wide variety of frozen plant-based products, including mince and meatball alternatives, pastries, puddings and vegan pizzas, in addition to No Chick fillets and strips, No Duck spring rolls and No Fish fingers. The brand’s products are also sold in Asda and Ocado.
