Point. As i say, brian strong, who is the director of the Capital Planning committee and the citys chief resilience officer is a good resource. Hes sort of i dont want to say a toll collector but kind of organizer for a lot of the discussions. I think that would be helpful. And he will be here in march. We can bring it up at that point as well. Would you be up for writing a memo . Maybe the Controllers Office can help draft this. I guess do other members feel strongly that a memo sent by this committee to the Capital Planning committee to express our concerns specific to this bond and how the broad nature of the bond has ended with possible problematic ways for us as we oversee the spending of the bond. Would the controls office help us draft i think what we would like to do is have a memo from this committee to the Capital Planning committee to share with them the problems that we are encountering as a result of the broad structuring of the bond. Youre welcome to send a memo if you li
From july 1st, 2010, through 2017 and 98 of the recommendations issued from july 1st, 2010, through june 30th, 2015, is just a testament to the work of the department and the seriousness they take from the audit work performed by our team. So of the 190 recommendations not implemented, which is only 37 or 1. 7 , they are more than twoyearsold. Generally because either its a major implementation or there needs to be some type of bargaining unit discussion before anything can occur. So thats the end of my presentation. Congratulations on passing the audit and thank you and your staff for the monumental amount of work that you do to keep the city on track. Thank you very much. I have a few questions i want to ask. Start with some of the deeper material you have in the report, i agree, excellent overview of whats going on. In terms of the nonprofit monitoring, you give us numbers of contractors who had findings which was a very low figure. Can you tell us something about the dollar value o
Unit. He got there about 30 minutes before she returned home. This was week ago yesterday. Thursday afternoon. Catching her off guard. Beating and strangling her. Police say that harris then used bleach to clean up the room before leaving. Jasmine apparently was on the phone with her mother in virginia at the time of the attack when that phone line suddenly went dead. Now, police say they do have what they believe is a pretty open and shut case here. Neighbors want to know who is responsible for james harris still having keys to the building after being fired. They have to lay their head down at night and they need to answer some questions and need to talk to jasmines family, and just, you know, explain what happened. Im just so sorry but im so glad. Im so glad that this murder is wrapped up. Hes not talking to us. Hes hes a monster. Hes career criminal lock up 31 times. Hes probably not going to tell us anything upstairs. We dont need that. I knew him in a different context. In the 111th congress, he directed a project for the senate libraries. It was in that context that i got to know him. I will never forget the feeling of relief i had when anthony brought the experiment of the subcommittee and decided the budget to come on a tour. As the librarian, i got to give the tour. Correct me if used some very colorful language, and i walked through the library and explained to him how we were going to turn what had been a private library into a nonprofit library. It was a joy in disbelief for them to see. It was a joy to know they were supportive of what we were doing. I will always be grateful to him for that. I am equally grateful, and thats why he is here today, that he took time to write a book. He was working on this before he started working for the government. Some people go into government and then write a book. But he wrote this before. There are not many people in our country who think deeply about the Library System.
