Gombe releases N775m, commences payment of outstanding gratuity to retirees

Share The sum of N775m has been released by Gombe State Government for the payment of another tranche of outstanding gratuity to retired civil servants in the state. The amount was ordered released by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who also directed that the payment of retirees’ benefits should commence on Monday immediately. Sequel to the governor’s directives, the committee set up to verify and ascertain the correctness of the volume of the outstanding gratuity owed state retirees has concluded arrangements to commence the payment and therefore requested retired state civil servants who retired from January to December 2015, to come forward for verification and collection of their entitlements.

NAB PG gets another term through ordinance Section 8(a)(iii) of the NAB Ordinance, 1999 amended ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has recently promulgated an ordinance for one man – the Prosecutor General (PG) Accountability of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB); the post seen as the most significant after the NAB chairman as no reference can be filed without the PG’s approval. The ordinance – the National Accountability (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 – has not only led to the re-appointment of Justice (retd) Syed Asghar Haider as the PG Accountability for another term of three years but also lifted the bar for another similar extension. Haider’s term has expired on January 28.
