Seminoles Dominate No 14 Georgia in Game One of Tallahassee Super Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 3 seeded Florida State Softball Team (54-9) took the first game of the series over No. 14 seeded Georgia (42-14) with a convincing 8-1 victory at JoAnne Graf Field. This marks the longest win streak over the Gators in program history with five straight victories. The Bulldogs tacked on the first run with a solo shot to right to open up the top of the second. Michaela Edenfield and Devyn Flaherty responded accordingly with a walk and single respectively to begin the frame but were unable to be sent home. The third inning saw the Seminoles capitalize on their offensive rhythm. Josie Muffley powered the first pitch she saw into the left side for a single before Kaley Mudge blasted the ball into right for an RBI double to tie the game at one apiece.  The dust didn’t settle there as Kalei Harding smoked an RBI double herself into left to take the lead. No 3 Softball Picks Up 2-1 Victory Over Louisville on Senior Day

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - On an emotional senior day, the seniors stepped up as the No. 3 Florida State softball team (47-8, 22-2) took down Louisville (35-17, 16-7) by a score of 2-1 to complete the series sweep to end the regular season. The win increased the Noles' winning streak to 13 games as they head to the ACC Tournament as the No. 1 seed. The Seminoles will play at 11 a.m. on Thursday against the winner of Virginia and Syracuse. Thursday's game can be seen live on the ACC Network. The offense did not come easy for either team as the two teams combined for just seven hits, but Josie Muffley got the scoring going for the Seminoles with her first home run since Apr. 17, 2021, in the third inning to give the Noles a 1-0 lead. Mack Leonard hit a double in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Hallie Wacaser reached on an error to put runners on second and third for Devyn Flaherty.
