Congressman dwight evans, democrat of pennsylvania, youve been serving in Public Office since 1980. Correct. What were you doing . What have you been doing over the years . I was in the state legislature in pennsylvania. I was in that particular position for 36 years. I was chairman of the house appropriation committee, the very same position that ben franklin held, and at that time it was called the ways and means committee. So i was on that committee 28 of 36 years. And basically, i focused a great deal on issues relating to jobs, education, economic development, investments in our communities, those type of things that i focused on in the legislature. Why did you decide to make a run for a u. S. House seat . Because i felt like there needed to be some issues that needed to be dealt with at the National Level. For example, i
