A competitive back-and-forth matchup went in favor of West Virginia on Friday night at Hoglund Ballpark as the Mountaineers defeated the Jayhawks 11-10. The Jayhawks took a 10-9 lead in the bottom of the eighth before West Virginia scored two runs in the top of the ninth.
On a windy Saturday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark, West Virginia defeated Kansas 4-0 in game two of the three-game series. Kansas hosted its second annual Autism Awareness Game on Saturday.
In a back-and-forth game on Wednesday night, the Wichita State Shockers defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 7-6 at Eck Stadium. Wichita State’s Mauricio Milan hit a walk-off single with two outs in the ninth inning to win the game.
