The 2024 home schedule for Kansas Baseball starts this weekend as the Jayhawks host Texas Southern for four games beginning on Friday. The Jayhawks are 22-5 in home openers over the last 27 seasons since joining the Big 12 prior to the 1997 season.
Kansas and Washington State played a tight game on Saturday afternoon that ended in favor of Washington State by a score of 5-4 at Dell Diamond. The Cougars hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning that proved to be the game-winner.
Kansas Baseball will play in an early season tournament this weekend as the Jayhawks take on Texas State (Friday), Washington State (Saturday) and Kentucky (Sunday) in the Karbach Round Rock Classic at Dell Diamond here. The Kansas offense produced its first double-digit scoring game of the season as the Jayhawks defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 13-7 on Tuesday night at Whataburger Field.
