Vanbuskirk arraigned on new charges

A Hillsdale woman facing pending charges in the 1st Judicial Circuit Court in connection with the Jan. 16 home invasion and stabbing in the city of Hillsdale was arraigned on new allegations Monday afternoon in 2B District Court.
Maya Leigh Vanbuskirk, 20, was arraigned on charges of first-degree home invasion and unlawfully driving away an automobile stemming from further crimes she allegedly committed while out on bond awaiting hearings in her first case where she is charged with first-degree home invasion and possession of methamphetamine.
Vanbuskirk will appear for preliminary hearings in the district court in the next three weeks and is being held on a $60,000 bond with 10-percent allowed.
