The Utah Library Advocates organization on Tuesday addressed the recent rise in censorship in Utah school libraries and announce an e-book designed to help parents navigate the issue.
The move comes after a wave of book challenges in both school and public libraries in Utah and across the country, and an effort to have librarians or teachers arrested for sharing books some find objectionable with students.

UH Hilo’s event.

Kamalani Johnson, a lecturer and curriculum specialist at Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani College of Hawaiian Language. Other speakers include a roundtable of children’s librarians from public libraries in Kona, Kealakekua and Hilo.
