i m just saying, once they scrape these roads, we get the more sun angle that will really help things out. as far as traffic this morning for awhile interstate 81 was shut down. the good thing is, this was a dry, powdery snow, so we didn t have the tree and power lines issues. downstate, as you know, living in the tristate area around new york, new jersey and connecticut, it was wild with the wind and the heavy rain fall. we had localized flooding there. this storm pulls out, you can see on the national radar and satellite composite, this thing is spinning out. we ve got some leftover snow and rain in new england. a new storm is brewing, this is going to come out of the rockies into the plains and tomorrow we ll have another outbreak of severe weather, possibly more tornadoes, and snow in the plains. this one, though, richard will track up through the lakes and spare the east coast from any major snowstorm later in the week. but, something to watch tuesday and wednesday. yeah, mike.

this was 20.0. top five. new york city s top five all-time snowstorms. yes, this was a big, historic storm, especially for new york. the rundown, newark, new jersey, 24 inches. the highest total elizabeth, new jersey, 31 inches of snow. just outside new york city, literally 20 miles, was the bull s-eye for the storm. i mentioned some left. portland, maine, leftover snow. blizzard warnings canceled for new york city area. still blizzard warnings around the boston and cape cod area. couple more bands of snow that will be about it. impressive, take a look at the last 36 hours of the storm and you can track the center of it right at the end. it had a little eye but disappeared off of cape cod. the storm s just about gone. how did d.c. escape the snow? incredible. virginia beach a foot of snow, atlanta gets snow but yet d.c. missed out. the storm was weak, as it went off the coast. that that area. off the north carolina coast. it really didn t strengthen
