Claude Gibeault and Leah McMillan, a couple from the Chesterville area, were gracefully swinging their metal detectors back in forth in the mid-afternoon hours, hoping to find old, forgotten objects.

“We just found it a minute ago,” said Gibeault, holding up an old small toy gun. “It was buried down about eight inches in the ground.”
The pair’s visit to Cornwall was two-fold sure, they wanted to do some metal detecting, but they had also come to receive their second COVID-19 shot. Motivated to go outside during the seemingly endless COVID-19 pandemic, the two have been pursuing their metal detecting hobby since last July.
