I think all of us in this room would agree that we are in the middle of something pretty darn historic. But just how historic i think remains to be seen. This could be the beginning of the end of a culture of silence, of fear, of complacency. This could be the beginning of the end of violence against women, one of the most destructive and universal challenges we face. You know, when vital voices was started 21 years ago, we didnt have the allies or the awareness that we have today. Today we have stronger laws and louder advocates.
