he will have his mugshot taken. although it will be released, his fingerprints taken, his passport will be confiscated. he will go through that entire process, which in of itself, we saw it in new york, but this is different, this is the federal government, the government he used to run. which is just remarkable. then he will go to court for a combination of a first appearance, and in arraignment. and as you know, he will be offered a reading of the indictment, which most defendants usually wave. he will ask for a plea. we expect him to plead not guilty. then we will find out what if any conditions the magistrate will impose on him. of course no one thinks that he s a candidate for detention. he s not gonna be ordered to jail. but the magistrate, will they put restrictions on, for example, how he can attack and criticize the prosecutors or the judge, or other players in this case as he has been known to do about the legal system and other matters he s involved in. that is something we
impartial this judge will be. i do think you may see conversation from the doj asking for limitations to be placed on donald trump in terms of donald trump so the integrity of his case isn t how he respond is gonna be a key indicator, in terms of how they will approach people will be watching this to see try to can curtail some of the public discourse around this from donald trump and then also of course, how judge panel can a response. it s something i m watching because you do not want to run the risk of curtailing defendant s first amendment rights any differently than you would and another case. but you also have to be mindful and balancing that this is not any other defendant you re talking about someone who has an enormous platform, and reach is very far and wide. that could ultimately, weigh in
