The City Police Commissioner, Ernakulam, has suspended trainee Sub-Inspector K Saiju of Ernakulam North Police Station for assaulting a lawyer. Saiju was alleged to have assaulted Advocate Srinath.

After their cars bumped into each other accidentally, the accused began assaulting the lawyer which the judge happened to notice while passing and asked the police officer with him to intervene.
