We have met the generations test to stand for freedom against a tough challenge, and we have persevered. We are wiser, better, stronger. Today, as we remember the fallen, their families, the bravery of those who face saved countless lives on those dark days and those who are still fighting today, we stand united, dedicated to never forget, never give in, and never lose hope. May god surround and comfort those who lost so much of that day, and may he bless and protect our great nation. It is hard to believe it has been 15 years since 9 11. For many of us, we will never forget the memories of that day. For me, i had breakfast in the pentagon and left 20 minutes to before the plane hit. I remember getting back to my office on capitol hill and a policeman comes running through the halls saying, get out, get out, there is another one coming for us. And people streamed out into the streets not knowing what was happening, how many attacks there would be, or who might be affected. I also remem
You think the source is . And i just to the extent that you can say time and date and if you will, accountable individual who you think is the Decision Maker or the impediment, i would like that answer as succinctly as possible. Miss buller . In my case its very easy to pinpoint the time and the person. The passage of the act mandating the restrictive reporting was the impetus. The person was the general counsel. Basically, he has taken the opportunity to interpret the act to impede our access. Mr. Elkins . In my case, you know, i have two agencies that i oversee, the csb and Environmental Protection agency. In both cases, i have to say that issues relative to access starts at the top with a clear message from the top that access will be granted, it will be granted. To the extent that there is a muddled message or the message is not clear, you end up in situations that we have here today. Some of the on the csb side of the house, the issues started back in 2010, 2011. On the epa side o
Pretty puzzled and rather disheartened. I think hes pulling the punches there, i think hes being careful with the language. Jonathan reiner he called it criminal negligence. What do you think . Yeah. I think it is. I mean, especially given now that we know what the president knew and when he knew it in terms of the danger of events like this. It was interesting. I have known dr. Collins, he was my genetics professor in school and that was Strong Language for him. Hes not very political but he said he made this analogy, if an alien came from another planet and said theres a pathogen circulating the globe right now, some people are protecting themselves, other peoples are not and the reason theyre doing it is breaking down along political lines, it would completely make no sense to someone who visited this planet. But thats what were seeing right now and clearly, michigan if you look at the numbers whats happening in michigan, they sort of you know, they had the lowest sort of numbers mi
Nation you will see the family step up and read aloud. The power of saying the names people we will never see again from that day is part of that important remembers, guys. We will be talking to people here, First Responders all morning long. Sure, and frank got involved, when the 9 11 Memorial Museum announced. We will not be able to do the district to life, two beams of life that go straight up into the sky. Because of covid we dont want to put people at risk. Frank siller said are you dismigd we can do that got involved. Essentially we have dueling commemorations today. Pete correct. Then the 9 11 memorial divided to do the lights which will be done tonight but they still deferred on the reading in recording of the names and the Vice President will attend that briefly come and give remarks to the dhs secretary. A little bit different but just in the shadow of will 20 years no. Less powerful as this city goes through city right now in a different context. Ainsley have you been workin
Good morning to you and your family. It is september 11th, 2016. Youre watching a special edition of fox friends. Today marks 15 years since the 9 11 attacks here in new york city, also in washington, d. C. , and shanksville, pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 americans died on that day. This morning we honor those who lost their lives and those who sacrificed their own lives to save so many others. Its hard to believe it was 15 years ago. Brian and i were in these chairs 15 years ago. Yeah, they were chairs then, not a couch. To be exact, 2,997. Its so good, for one thing, to see something downtown. For the longest time weve been doing the show on 9 11 and there was nothing there. Now theyve got one world trade, which was also known as the Freedom Tower. Which is what we were just looking at. For years, there was nothing there. There was a lot of red tape trying to figure out what to put down there. No one knows that story better than rick levinthal. Lets go to rick, who was able to carry liv
