SAN JOSE, Calif. - A teenage driver has been charged with two counts of murder in the death of a pair of siblings who were killed last week as the suspect tried to evade sheriff’s deputies, the Santa Clara County District Attorney s Office said.
The district attorney said Roberto Joseph Garcia, 18, had cannabis and a firearm in his car as he evaded deputies on April 26. He already faced DUI charges from another recent incident, authorities said.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - The two victims killed by a fleeing driver in San Jose earlier this week were siblings, the coroner s office confirmed.
The Santa Clara County Coroner s Office identified the victims as Precious Nievas, 25, and her brother Philip Nievas, 22, both of San Jose.
Officers said the victims died Monday night after a Honda Accord ran a red light and slammed into the victims Toyota Camry.
The crash happened Monday night around 10 p.m. at Lawrence Expressway after officers tried to pull over a Honda Accord. Officers said the driver refused to stop, ran a red light, and crashed into the victims Toyota Camry.

Two dead in San Jose traffic collision

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Two people have died from a traffic collision in San Jose Monday night. San Jose Police Department units are at the scene in the area of Lawrence Expressway and Mitty Way.
Police said the collision happened just before 10 p.m. They responded at the request of Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department.
SJPD are handling the traffic investigation. They did not have any other information to immediately share. A press release is expected in the morning.
