For the first time, ben carson is leading donald trump nationwide. 26 of republican primary voters support the retired neuro surgeon. Trump has 22 . He was the leader just two weeks ago. This is the first time that trump has fallen out of the lead since he entered the race. He faces a public fact check about the recent campaign claim. Ford Motor Company announces its Third Quarter profits in about two hours. What does that have to do with the political story . Ford ceo is eager to respond to trumps erroneous boast that he shamed the company. I heard last night that ford is moving back to the United States. They may not do that deal. I should get credit for that. Reporter credit for what . Ford will still spend 2. 5 billion in mexico to build two new engine and transmission plants. Ford is muoving 1,000 Assembly Line jobs to ohio, a decision it anno
Back i could only respond through that email. But what i meant to say is we couldnt find out who was sending it. It was obvious that they were english speaking, however, because, you know, of the commander language. Was there specifics about a ransom number or conditions . When they initially reached out to us, yes. It was ridiculous. Like they wanted 100 million euro or all muslim prisoners kind of thing. And you know, fbi, you know, of course we right away sent tight the fbi and they just said keep them talking, keep them talking. But within a few emails when they realized they were just talking to the family, they had absolutely no interest. And so they cut off discussions until the only other time, sir, was when the french came out in march of 2014, they came out with another very specific offer to negotiate for all americans and all of the british. And your primary source of contact in the United States was the fbi . We had no primary source. I did have one we had one fbi agent wh
The Justice Department statistics show that nationally only 16 of state prisoners are in for drug crimes and less than 4 are there for drug possession. And yet, our very president is going around stating an untruth. That is because this is an administration i think that is ruled by an ideology that claims that Law Enforcement is somehow racist. And that, as you say, is a disservice to officers of all colors who are there to help the good people in the community. Mr. Mccarthy, you rightly observed that the title this hearing, the war on police, is directed more broadly than just the department of justice. But it is rather what i see as a pervasive, to use a term of art, pattern and practice across the federal government and this administration, and indeed, i think no one bears more direct responsibility than the president. As ms. Macdonald just noted, president obama has directly tried to attack his own fbi director for observing that Violent Crime and homicides are increasing. We saw a

The thought, initially, was the thought derived from pat all oliphant, who to me is the watershed of political cartooning, and he hates me to this day for coining that, and heme that is perfect because invested in it and it was so personal, and it seemed like it was offlimits. Library, i wasa looking through early 20th century american cartooning, and i found out this marginal commentary was part of the andand and i thought i thought, i would give it a try. I put myself in a personally. It is a drawing board. David s. do you have any way of putting yourself in the cartoon and giving a Second Opinion . Tom yes, it is just another dimension. When i draw cartoons and sketches, i always draw them without that in mind. Take that away, the cartoon i
And i dont know why because i didnt know any lawyers. But somehow i always wanted to be a lawyer. Was there interest in sfllaw . I was interested in crime prevention. I had no interest in tax or corporate law. So i was immediately involved in criminal law and did very well. I won a scholarship on that at my first exam at harvard, and then i went to work under one of these student aid programs for a professor of criminal law and criminal administration, professor shelton who was the leading authority in the field of juvenile crime, and that had an important influence on pmy later career. When you were in college, the war had started. No, the war started when i was in law school. I recall the december 7th, when pearl harbor. Im talking about the United States involvement in the war. The war was on in europe, but the United States involvement began when i was at harvard. And i remember the day when everybody went down to enlist. Were you conscious of national socialism, what it was doing
