Using yoga to help those severely impacted by COVID-19

SALISBURY, Md. – On Sunday morning, yoga enthusiasts gathered to not only meditate and exercise but to raise money for families in India. “They’ve passed on this beautiful practice to us and we should help our brothers and sisters in need,” says Soul Yoga owner, Lauren Gilmore.
People around the world have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. One country in particular is reportedly dealing with a 64% rise in poverty since it began, that country being India. “I have had friends and family members impacted by COVID, we all know people impacted by COVID but our lives are still for the most part not at a $1.90 or less,” says fundraiser organizer and yoga instructor, Cinzia Lombardo.
