(KOLD News 13) - A Scottsdale man is behind bars for his alleged role in a pile-up crash on State Route 87 near Payson. The April 16 crash left three people dead. Arizona Department of Transportation officials was called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. An investigation found David Duncan was driving a white pickup truck that crossed the center line and collided with several vehicles. Those killed in the crash are identified as 54-year-old Georgia Marie Burnside of Payson, 38-year-old Latissia Morris of San Tan Valley, and Morris’ 15-year-old son.

PAYSON, Ariz. - A vehicle crossed the center line of State Route 87 north of Payson, starting a chain-reaction collision in which three people were killed Friday night, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. A white Ford truck heading southbound had crossed the center line on April 16, colliding first with two oncoming vehicles near milepost 259. The wrong-way driver then hit another white truck driving south, sending it careening across the northbound lanes and down a hill in a nearby canyon.

Updated: 2:46 PM MST April 21, 2021 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. A Scottsdale man is facing serious charges including three counts of manslaughter after he allegedly caused a crash near Payson that killed three people, the Arizona Department of Public Safety says. According to DPS, a four vehicle crash on April 16 on State Route 87, just northwest of Payson, resulted in the deaths of three people.  DPS says a white Ford pickup was going south on SR 87 when it moved left of center and into the northbound lane and sidewiped a Dodge pickup truck and a white Ford SUV that were going north. A second white Ford pickup was going south on SR 87 and crashed into the first Ford pickup that caused the crashes.
