Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has welcomed and lauded the “Joint Accordant” signed by the NSCN (IM) and WC-NNPG during a meeting facilitated by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) on September 14. The groups had reaffirmed their commitment to the 2009 “Covenant of Reconciliation” and their commitment towards finding ways to transcend their differences in the greater interest of the Naga cause, read NDPP’s press statement. “The NDPP is confident that such a public declaration will be truly followed in letter and in spirit. This also shows the sincerity, dedication, efforts and sacrifices that are being made by the negotiating parties in trying to bring about a final solution and settlement of the decades old Indo-Naga political issue,” it added.
