Prince William County schools finalizing plan for fall
Prince William County schools are finalizing plans for the 2021-2022 school year, which will accommodate in-person learning five days a week.
MANASSAS, Va. - The reopening plan for this fall for Prince William County schools was released Wednesday night – and it includes details for how the district will accommodate state law and offer in-person learning five days a week.
Full-time, in-person learning will be the default once fall arrives – but families will still have the option of choosing virtual learning.

The head of ChicagoPublic Schools (CPS) said in a letter Monday that she wouldn t renew her contract, which expires at the end of June. While I feel there is still more work to be done in CPS, I also believe it is time to pass the torch to new leadership for the next chapter, said CPS chief executive officer Janice Jackson.
Prior to Monday s letter, the district s second-highest-ranking administrator, LaTanya McDade, said she would leave at the end of the school year. According to The Chicago Tribune, CPS chief operating officer Arnie Rivera is resigning as well, meaning three of its top officials are departing.
The CPS chief, who said ongoing standoffs with the teachers union took their toll, is part of a substantial exodus after a difficult run for the nation's third-largest school district.
