The finished product.
Loving Ruger revolvers doesn’t mean I’m not aware of their minor shortcomings. The .45s in particular are made with notoriously tight cylinder throats and the front sights could be taller on most guns, regardless of caliber, and especially for heavier loads. Alas, it is easier to remove metal than adding it, so these minor irritations are easily fixed. Doing so makes them more “yours” too!
If you have a stainless gun, simply removing the front sight roll pin and replacing the sight blade with a taller one takes care of the sight problem. Cylinder throats can be reamed to proper dimensions, leaving you with a very accurate shooter.
County Administration Building to reopen March 1 Crawford County
CRAWFORD COUNTY - At their Tuesday, Feb. 16 meeting, the Crawford County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to reopen the County Administration Building to the public on March 1.
“We had a lengthy discussion about this, and our recommendation is to reopen the building on March 1,” Supervisor and Personnel Committee Chair Brad Steiner said. “That being said, everyone entering the building or working in the building will be required to wear a mask.”
One employee asked several clarifying questions about the decision.
“Does that mean that all staff will be required to resume working in the building, and will staff still be allowed to self-quarantine or isolate as needed?” County Treasurer Deanne Lutz asked.
Tuesday is forecast to begin with temperatures in the upper 40s, but with winds gusting to 30 mph, the “feels like” temperature could dip into the upper 30s or low 40s, said the National Weather Service. Wind chill in the 30s possible - why this South Florida cold front is potent Kimberly Miller, Palm Beach Post
A potent nor’easter piling up snow from Virginia through New England is expected to bring the coldest air of the season to South Florida with possible wind chill temperatures in the 30s.
While the Sunshine State has had a spate of cold fronts this winter, including a Christmas chill that brought a 41-degree morning on Dec. 26, National Weather Service meteorologists said this punch of arctic air is coming with the added threat of wind.
Tuesday’s sunrise temperature is forecast to dip to 45 degrees. But with winds gusting to 33 mph, the “feels like” temperature could dip into the upper 30s or low 40s, said National Weather Service meteorologist Larry Kelly.
