Crawford County Board establishes Broadband Study Group Kickoff education event April 28
CRAWFORD COUNTY - The Crawford County Board of Supervisors formed a Broadband Study Committee at their Tuesday, April 20 meeting. The moment is timely when the talk of the nation and the state is focused on infrastructure projects such as broadband expansion. And it’s not only talk, there’s a lot of funding in the pipeline to turn the talk into reality.
“There is lots of money becoming available from the state and federal governments for broadband expansion,” Community Development Alternatives Dale Klemme told the board. “By forming a study committee, you are empowering non-interested parties to study the options and funding possibilities, and provide a recommendation to the board on how best to move forward.”
County Administration Building to reopen March 1 Crawford County
CRAWFORD COUNTY - At their Tuesday, Feb. 16 meeting, the Crawford County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to reopen the County Administration Building to the public on March 1.
“We had a lengthy discussion about this, and our recommendation is to reopen the building on March 1,” Supervisor and Personnel Committee Chair Brad Steiner said. “That being said, everyone entering the building or working in the building will be required to wear a mask.”
One employee asked several clarifying questions about the decision.
“Does that mean that all staff will be required to resume working in the building, and will staff still be allowed to self-quarantine or isolate as needed?” County Treasurer Deanne Lutz asked.
