martha: so we re waiting for the next live event, which is president biden touring the damage caused by hurricane ida. these pictures of grand isle are just horrible. look at these poor people s homes. just devastated. the president will be in laplace, which is along the mississippi river. he s going to do a chopper tour of the area as well. they re about 25, 30 minutes behind schedule is the latest information that we have on the president s agenda. but we will keep a close eye on that as well. obviously this is one of the duties to see the damage first hand, get a good sense of what people are going through in this devastated area. i m joined by louisiana senator john kennedy whose own home was impacted by the storm. he s without power. senator, good to have you with us. i m sorry for what you and your family and so many are going through.
