>> martha: so we're waiting for the next live event, which is president biden touring the damage caused by hurricane ida. these pictures of grand isle are just horrible. look at these poor people's homes. just devastated. the president will be in laplace, which is along the mississippi river. he's going to do a chopper tour of the area as well. they're about 25, 30 minutes behind schedule is the latest information that we have on the president's agenda. but we will keep a close eye on that as well. obviously this is one of the duties to see the damage first hand, get a good sense of what people are going through in this devastated area. i'm joined by louisiana senator john kennedy whose own home was impacted by the storm. he's without power. senator, good to have you with us. i'm sorry for what you and your family and so many are going through.
