North Stonington A family that was missing on a Lantern Hill trail was found safe after a police search Saturday afternoon.
The parents and two young children were hiking when they became lost and called police for help about 7 p.m., according to Connecticut State Police at Troop E in Montville.
State police, Ledyard police, and the Ledyard and North Stonington fire departments responded to the area and found the family by 7:50 p.m., police said.
Police did not have the exact ages of the children and no further information was available.
