We ve known for some time that the next-generation Land Cruiser will sport significant changes under the hood, dropping the existing V8 in favor of more efficient options. Now, we have a clearer picture of what will power it.
A newly leaked dealer bulletin posted to Kakaku claims the base Land Cruiser will use a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 borrowed from the Lexus LS 500. This engine will produce 420 horsepower and 434 lb-ft and likely come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
