Tierheime müssen Aufnahmestopp verhängen Berlin - Der Deutsche Tierschutzbund schlägt angesichts zunehmend überlaufener Tierheime Alarm. Unüberlegt online, aber auch im Zoofachhandel oder beim Züchter gekaufte Tiere landen nun bereits in einigen Fällen als Abgabetiere in den Tierheimen. Manche Tierheime mussten sogar schon einen Aufnahmestopp verhängen, weil die Kapazitäten erschöpft sind. Die Sorge, vor dem, was noch kommt, treibt alle Tierheime um , sagte der Präsident des Deutschen Tierschutzbundes, Thomas Schröder, der Rheinischen Post (Mittwoch). Der Wunsch nach Nähe und Beschäftigung hat die Zahl der in Deutschland gehaltenen Tiere in der Corona-Zeit in die Höhe schnellen lassen. Erfreulich daran war, dass auch viele Tierheime für ihre Schützlinge die passenden Interessenten finden konnten , betonte Schröder.
