Fort Knox Garrison and Directorate of Emergency Services leaders received welcome news March 23 that the post’s fire department had earned its second international accreditation since 2017 — the first
Col. C.J. King relinquished command Wednesday of the Fort Knox garrison to Col. Lance OâBryan during a change of command ceremony at Waybur Theater.
Director of Installation Management Command-Training Vincent Grewatz officiated the event and discussed the importance of having great leaders in such a vital role.
âThe Army develops leaders that are committed, innovative, motivated and capable of handling challenges of command in a complex environment, and the last two years certainly qualified as that,â Grewatz said. â(Col. King) is one of these outstanding Army leaders.â
Grewatz said OâBryan also embodies those qualities and brings a track record of excellence to his new position.
