The teenagers Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kini, 17, reportedly murdered a 11-year-old boy at Lamptey Mills in Kasoa on Saturday. The deceased, Ishmael Mensah, was a Class Four pupil of the Maranatha School and it s believed the teenagers committed such hideous crime for ritual money purposes. The murder has provoked discussions on the human quest for quick riches and living a luxurious life. Media reportage on Kasoa ritual murder unethical - Child Rights International 5 HOURS AGO Child Rights International (CRI) has lashed out at the media over what it describes as unethical reportage on the teenagers that allegedly killed and buried a 10-year-old at Lamptey Mills in Kasoa of the Central Region. According to CRI, the media exposure of the details and images of the teenagers is a violation of the Juvenile Justice Act which protects the rights of juvenile offenders. The organisation insists that as a child-centred organisation, the reportage from the media is unethical and does not protect their privacy and dignity, the victim and the two suspects are teenagers and therefore must be protected and handled lawfully.

Boy Murdered For Money Rituals At Kasoa Buried

  Ishmael Abdallah, the 10-year-old boy, who was allegedly murdered at Kasoa for ritual purposes, was on Thursday buried at the Amanfrom Muslim Cemetery after Islamic rituals. Sheikh Yousiph Saeed Ankomah, Imam for Taifa, who conducted the burial service, prayed for the soul of the deceased and asked the bereaved family to take heart and trust God for better times ahead. He asked parents to develop interest in what their children did outside home, in their friends and what they used mobile phones for, to avert such calamities. Sheikh Ankomah said the incident should be a lesson to all parents and emphasised the need to bring up children in the fear of God so they could become responsible citizens.
