County taken steps to clear a homeless encampment. The board of supervisors voted to purchase two homes to provide shelter for dozens of people. We spoke with a santa rosa woman who said that one of these homes was hers. Reporter the home behind me is one of two that the Sonoma County board of supervisors voted to purchase today. The woman i just spoke to a few hours ago said she got a notice in october that she had to go. Rebecca lived in a back unit on this property on sonoma street and santa rosa with her daughter for 10 1 2 years. She received a notice to move in october. The timing seemed odd. We were myself and the other tenant were given 60 days notice during the kincaid fire. That in and of itself is really stressful. Reporter the county voted t homeless. I understand that there were tenants on the other property that the county did purchase and i just personally do not understand why they would displace people to house people. Like i said that seems like robbing from peter to
