MUMBAI: Two men from Nepal ended up in police custody after paying Rs 40,000 each to a Delhi-based agent to help them in getting the visa and a no-objection certificate (NOC) from Nepal Embassy at New Delhi required for flying from India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The two Karan Mahara (30) and Lal Singh Bhat (23) claimed that they are victims as they planned to take the flight from Mumbai as the ticket price is just one third (Rs 45,000 approximately) of what they have to shell out in their country to fly to Gulf nations, said the police.
The two flyers have been booked for forgery and that will attract seven years imprisonment if proved guilty.
