Mobile home park owner charged with writing bad check to sheriff s department Scott Cousins, scousins@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail EDWARDSVILLE The owner of a Granite City mobile home park was charged Wednesday with allegedly paying the Madison County Sheriff’s Department with a bad check. Mohammad K. Jalali, 40, of St. Louis, was charged Feb. 24 with deceptive practices, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, Jalali, the owner of Lakeshore Estates Mobile Home Park in the 3100 block of West Chain of Rocks Road in Granite City, on Aug. 21 presented a check for $608 to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department drawn on a Bank of America account “knowing said checks would not be paid by the depository.”
