Attorneys from the Stanislaus County District Attorneys Office and members of the Peterson Family were also in the room in 2004 peterson was convicted of murdering his wife laci and their unborn son. Connor in modesto, back in 2002 at the original trial, peterson was sentenced to death, but that was later changed to life in prison is currently serving out his sentence at mule creek state prison east of sacramento.
