Perham Kinship
Over the month of January, Perham Kinship celebrates national mentoring month. To wrap up mentoring month, the local nonprofit, which has a mission to enhance the community through positive one-on-one mentor and mentee experiences between adult mentors and children between the ages of 5 and 18, is holding a social distancing online silent auction in place of their planned fundraising event.
Originally, Kinship was partnering with Zorbaz on Little Pine Lake to put on an ice golf tournament called Freezin’ for a Reason on Jan. 30. Plans for the event were made in the summer months when both Kinship and Zorbaz had more hopeful exceptions about what the COVID-19 restrictions might be when the event rolled around.
