The blonde girl on Holiday Burgersâ logo is donning a captainâs hat and making the move to Lake Barkley, where the iconic Hopkinsville restaurantâs owners are opening a second location at Capân Jimâs Grill.
Sherry Powell, who owns Holiday Burgers with husband Charlie Powell, said they took advantage of an opportunity that presented itself in deciding to open the new restaurant.
âEvery time we went out to the lake we said, âMan, weâd like to have that restaurant,â â Powell said of their interest in the location.
She noted that Tammi Head, who operates Capân Jimâs and another store, wanted to take a break from the grill.

Rotarians sold a hand-carved shore board donated Arnold Chlupsa, a Ben Cundiff Country Ham, and a bucket of money that was taken up at the door.

Andrea Reynolds from Hanks Corner Market in Cerulean says 50-percent of all food proceeds from Friday night will go to Jack McGee.
