Lake Barkley Marina General Manager Tammi Head witnessed the event.
Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Head said there was a boat containing up to 10 people on board that started taking on water as they were headed back to the courtesy dock.
Waves from another watercraft added more water to the sinking boat, forcing two passengers into the water.
Head said within seconds, the boat was underwater. One of the passengers in the water was a special needs individual who uses a wheelchair.
Marina employee Micah Brown was gassing up another boat when he saw the boat and individuals go into the water.

Sherry Powell, who owns Holiday Burgers with husband Charlie Powell, said they took advantage of an opportunity that presented itself in deciding to open the new restaurant.
âEvery time we went out to the lake we said, âMan, weâd like to have that restaurant,â â Powell said of their interest in the location.
She noted that Tammi Head, who operates Capân Jimâs and another store, wanted to take a break from the grill.
