Construction will soon begin on the North Woods rain garden project at Lake Avondale. The Avondale Estates City Commission, at its Feb. 23 meeting, approved a resolution allowing the city manager to contract with Centennial Contractor Enterprises to construct phase one of the project.
The Avondale Estates City Commission will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. for a regular meeting. The City Commission meeting will be held via Zoom.
Nine candidates will move forward in the process toward becoming the next Avondale Estates Police Chief. City Manager Patrick Bryant said he authorized the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police to move to the next step in the search process, which is conducting a one-day competency assessment.
