Former Lafayette City Council Candidate Arrested

Matthew Sias, an insurance agent who ran for the Lafayette City Council in 2019, was arrested on Monday for allegedly committing insurance fraud between December 2019 through September 2020. Three People Arrested in Vehicle Burglaries in Broussard 20-year-old Faith Capritto and 21-year-old Todrick Toussiant - both of St. Martinville - and a 16-year-old juvenile have all been arrested after they allegedly committed several vehicle burglaries in a Broussard neighborhood. According to a Facebook post from Broussard Police, officers got the call on Monday from the neighborhood s residents. Police say they found the suspects in the yard of a home after going on foot to find them. The juvenile suspect was caught but the second suspect - Toussiant - allegedly fought officers and was able to get away.only for a short period of time. Toussiant and the alleged driver - Capritto - eventually turned themselves in to Broussard Police.
