stephanie elam has been following this closely. what in the world is going on here? yeah, don, if you take a look at what s going on today, i know people are angry in greece. the greekme parliament passed se measures today, 172 votes for it, 121 votes against it. so that s probably why it took so long for them to get to a final vote this evening. the greek financial minister said the bailout is the only way to not go bankrupt. take a listen to some of the conditions. like salary cuts, they re talking about that for public sector workers, that includes lawmakers as well. they re going to say taxes on cigarettes, fuel, gambling all being raised. the retirement age for female public sector workers is going to go up as well. there s also going to be an increase in tax consumers pay on purchases and this is all on vausely making a lot of the people there very upset about
