Heres the storm system just towards our north bringing a lot of snow to upstate new york, parts of new england and some rain showers into northeast pennsylvania. Its just circling north of the philadelphia area right now. Not seeing any showers in our area just a lost fog out there. Some rain showers made it to the Scranton Wilkesbarre area mixing with snow showers that will first hit the poconos then the Lehigh Valley and make their way from north to south early 31 morning. So just keep that in mind with those temperatures at or below freezing. We are looking at the concern for that black ice across the area. Temperatures have been holding pretty steady or below freezing. Folks have been sending in pictures as well. You can see that picture coming in from melinda showing you what it really look like as far as parts of the area dealing with that icy concern. So were monitoring those Winter Weather advisories as well as the temperatures throughout the rest of the evening but once again, we are going to be watching more of that moisture moving in from the west so were not real done with that precipitation just yet. You can see overnight were still looking at pockets of freezing rain and drizzle and mist across the area. A pretty busy news morning with the Deadly School shooting happening in Washington State yesterday. And not the only shooting. Shots rang out in northern california, two sheriffs deputies were killed. Two more people were wounded in a series of shootings that went over several hours. Sheinelle will have more coming up in a few minutes. We begin this morning with that School Shooting outside seattle. Students and teachers ran out of the school to safety after a high schooler walked into a cafeteria and reportedly opened fire. One student was killed, as well as the gunman. There are calls for a trustee of that college to step down. Several students atlas positas in livermore say the trustee made a series of homophobic and transphobic comments online. Its a very dangerous thing for a public official to be making those comments records this freshman is one of dozens of students, faculty and alumni calling for the resignation of board member luis reynoso after they say he posted multiple homophobic and transphobic social media posts to the platform linkedin. For someone to be leading a Community College district, thats very harel harmful to the students and faculty that identify as lgbtq. Reporter that concern started this month when this post showed.
