The Provincial Government has announced over $5 million to help Community Forest Agreement holders complete wildfire risk reduction projects.
The B.C. Community Forest Association will distribute more than $5 million to 15 holders of the community forest agreements across B.C. to fund 44 Crown Land Wildfire Risk Reduction (CLWRR) projects. This funding stream is part of the Community Resiliency Investment program administered by the B.C. Wildfire Service.
Wetzin’Kwa Community Forest Corporation in Stikine will receive $663,000. The funding is all part of StrongerBC: B.C.’s Economic Recovery Plan.
