ECI solicits nomination for national media award

Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has sought nomination from all the media houses for the national media award for best campaign on voters’ education and awareness during the year 2022. Media houses include print media, electronic (television) media, electronic (radio) media and online (internet)/ social media. A DIPR report informed that the nomination should be submitted to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) or directly to the Election Commission of India (ECI) before November 25. The awards would be in the form of citation, plaque and cash prize, while would be presented on National Voters’ Day (January 25, 2023). It informed that the jury would base their assessment on quality of voter awareness campaign, extent of coverage/ quantity, evidence of impact on the public, coverage on awareness about accessible elections, and any other relevant factor(s).
