Hyderabad, Feb 19 : Telangana Police on Friday arrested the fourth accused in the gruesome murder of an advocate couple in the Ramagundam town of Peddapalli district.
The accused Bittu Srinu, is a key conspirator in the double murder and also the nephew of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and Peddapalli Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhu.
Srinu is the fourth accused to be arrested in connection with the murder of Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife Nagamani, who were the practicing lawyers at the Telangana High Court.

HYDERABAD: Advocate couple, Gattu Vaman Rao and Nagamani, were followed by the assailants’ henchman for nearly three hours before they were hacked to death in Peddapalli district on Wednesday afternoon. “This clearly shows that it was a pre-determined murder,” Ramagundam police commissioner V Satyanarayana told TOI even as three of the accused were arrested on Thursday. Among those nabbed was Kunta Srinivas, local TRS leader and alleged mastermind of the murders.
“The killers used a car with a temporary registration number. They also acquired hunting sickles to commit the crime,” inspector general of police Y Nagi Reddy said. “The conspiracy was well-planned and executed.”

PEDDAPALLI: The three main accused Kunta Srinivas, Chiranjeevi and Akkapaka Kumar, were arrested in connection with the gruesome daylight killing of the advocate couple Gattu Vama Rao and his wife PV Nagamani on Thursday.
Srinivas and another accused were arrested from Maharashtra border, Inspector General of Police (North Zone) Y Nagi Reddy told reporters in a press meet. Even as the ruling party suspended him several advocates continued to stage protests against the fatal attack.
Kunta Srinivas who is also the TRS Manthani mandal unit president along with two others allegedly attacked lawyer Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife P V Nagamani on Wednesday. It was revealed by the IGP that he bore a grudge against the lawyer over his involvement in certain illegal construction activities in the Gunjapadugu area and the local temple committee matters.

Hyderabad: The gruesome murder of an advocate couple in broad daylight in Telangana’s Peddapalli district on Wednesday and alleged involvement of functionaries of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) may add to the woes of the ruling party as the opposition parties are trying to corner it.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress were quick to target TRS over the alleged involvement of its local leader in the killing of Gattu Vamana Rao and his wife Nagamani and sought inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or judicial probe.
