Kumho Petrochemicals and Technip Energies have entered into a memorandum of understanding that advances the synthetic rubber manufacturer's plans for producing rubber made of recycled styrene monomers.
Kumho Petrochemical is advancing its environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategy to create a sustainable future. The company started its full-scale ESG management after declaring its vision for “Let s Act, Advance and Accelerate for ESG!” and promoting its strategy in September 2021.
Kumho Petrochemical will convert all of its corporate vehicles to eco-friendly cars by 2030, the refiner said Thursday. The transition is part of the Korean-type pollution-free vehicle conversion 100 (K-EV100) program, a green initiative organized by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Automobile Environment Association to change all vehicles owned or leased by private firms to pollution-free cars. The goal is to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases and air pollutants by increasing the proportion of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric cars.
Kumho Resort, which has condominiums and golf courses in famous tourist destinations across the country, joined the Kumho Petrochemical Group family last year and has since completely refurbished its facilities, especially Asan SPAFORE, a premium camping resort.
