LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - An Angelina County commissioner remains in jail tonight. On Monday, precinct four commissioner Bobby Cheshire surrendered his bond.
He had been out of jail on bond for a previous arrest on a charge of felony violence against a family member from 2019. An attorney who is now working to remove Cheshire from his position explained what happened.
Lufkin attorney Robert Flournoy has filed a lawsuit petition against Angelina County’s precinct 4 commissioner Bobby Cheshire.

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - In Lufkin, CHI St. Lukeâs Health-Memorial hospital began administering COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday.
The frontline workers were the first ones to get vaccinations.
âThese are our first responders. These are the folks who have the most contact with our COVID-19 positive patients at our hospital,â said Dr. David Bailey.
The first COVID-19 vaccination shots from the maderna product have arrived at CHI St. Lukeâs.
âOur first allotment is 100 and we are hoping for 500 per week after that,â Bailey added.
