Study: Dining habits formed during COVID not likely to change soon

Data now backs up that creeping feeling we ve developed a dependence on delivery. BentoBox, a website, e-commerce, and marketing platform for restaurants, released the first installment of its Restaurant Delivery Consumer Trend Report in April.  This new report revealed the findings of a year-long study to track how more than 1,000 U.S. consumers’ delivery and takeout habits evolved during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The findings indicate that, even as restaurants begin to reopen in-person dining, diners are not going to change their habits when it comes to ordering takeout and delivery. Nearly eight in 10 takeout customers said they will continue to order at the same frequency they do now.
