POTSDAM â State Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-Rome, presented New York State Senate Commendation Awards to three exemplary St. Lawrence County women Tuesday afternoon at the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce.
Those honored include SUNY Potsdam President Kristin G. Esterberg, Director of the Potsdam Snack Pack Program Laurell Brault and Dana O. McGuire, former St. Lawrence County Public Health director.
Sen. Griffo said the individuals honored âdeserve to be recognized for the exceptional work that they do in their communities and throughout the region.â
He added that âeach honoree has shown remarkable commitment and dedication to making St. Lawrence County and the north country a better place for all.â

Together, the institutions have established four new articulated program agreements to provide seamless pathways for students at SUNY Potsdam to secure their admission into NYCC s in-demand healthcare programs.
The partnership provides articulation tracks for biology and exercise science majors at SUNY Potsdam to guarantee admission in NYCC s Doctor of Chiropractic program, even as they earn their bachelor s degrees.
